Sikkim Hawker

Like I stated on the previous work (Sikkim Monastery) about people in Sikkim being so good at heart no matter their occupation/status. This lady in the photograph down here, I still remember how friendly she was. I, being shy, was kind of nervous asking her if I could click her portrait. Anyways, I gathered up courage to go and ask her while my mother was buying bhutta (hot roasted corn with salt, lemon and chilli powder sprinkled) and she got so excited and smiled so brightly, and proudly said "Oh! You don't need to ask! So many people come in just a day to click my photos." And that's what I mean when I say they are such nice beings. Their warm, ever smiling faces never let you feel uncomfortable.
